Deb’s Theory on packing light
I like packing light in a carry on bag and small backpack (personal item) for any length trip. This way it is easy for me to handle, lift and move easily while traveling. The theory is you need to be able to carry your own bags.
Pack mix and match outfits.
Scarves and Pashminas are your friends to change up any look. A folded Pashmina can double as a neck pillow in a pinch.
I like “magic material” which is also known as the Chico’s Traveler’s line of clothing. It is a light lycra jersey type material that does not wrinkle, dries quickly and is very comfortable.
Limit yourself to 2 pairs of shoes and one water/pool/beach friendly pair. (Including the one you are wearing. For comfortable shoes, which are a must when traveling, I recommend the following- Aravon, Teva (waterproof), Vionic and Merrell.
